Given a choice of lying for Trump in court or quitting his defense team... #45 is now defenseless.
He doesn’t need a lawyer for an Insanity Defense, does he? 😄

Do you agree with these lawyers who don't think Trump is entitled to the 6th Amendment?
And I see you are a Biden follower. That's great.
This is not a criminal proceeding, so 6th amendment rights do not attach. In any event, Trump is not being denied an attorney; his attorneys left because they correctly refused to argue a "big lie" defense that has no merit. Don't worry, Trump will find some slimy attorneys to represent him and his meritless defense. Maybe we will see farting Rudy again with his melting hair dye.

This is not a criminal trial. Why is that so hard ton understand that it must be repeated- over and over .
Given the choice between arguing a legitimate defense...and the stolen election defense...the smart ones are bailing.
It's pretty simple.

Stiffing Rudy for his $22,000 a day fees can't have helped to lure in new blood.
All the blabbing ignores that not enough votes exist in the Senate to convict the former President.
As well, Chief Justice Roberts has declined to preside over the Senate trial -- his reasoning we do not know for sure, but it may have something to do with the Senate trial of a former President having no constitutional grounds.
Then we have the flimsiness of the Article of Impeachment stating "incitement of insurrection." In contradiction, we have the speech of the former President: This is what the President told attendees at his D.C. rally before a contingent of it later rioted and stormed the Capitol building:
"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
(found at:

His urging lies within the constitutional right of the citizenry to assemble peaceably.
Certainly by now, we in the audience observe that the leftists and their factotums have blinded themselves by their acute political hatred of the former President. In turn, they cannot see or think straight about anything the President says or does, regardless of merit.
We shall see how it goes.

My mistake, thanks. It is purely Political Theatrical Show with the goal of depriving Trump of ever running for office again. How could I be so blind?

That's because you are not very bright.

Far more likely is that the Constitutional grounds have not been tested and if Trump were to be impeached, it will wind up at SCOTUS and if Roberts were to reside at impeachment, we would later have to recuse when and if it reached the Court.
Don't read your own bias into the motives of anyone else, let alone a Chief Justice. The Constitutional scholarship on this is not settled, in spite of your awesome opinion. However, you should know that there is precedent fo a post-office impeachment. Whether it applies here is yet to be determined.

I did.
"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense."
What's your point?
You know, while the impeachment trial is not a criminal proceeding the principal of due process with a lawyer is embedded in American society. That is the overriding principle.

The Sixth Amendment guarantees the rights of criminal defendants, including the right to a public trial without unnecessary delay, the right to a lawyer, the right to an impartial jury, and the right to know who your accusers are and the nature of the charges and evidence against you.
He can always get a Public Defender, since he's having difficulties keeping his own lawyers. LOL

Trump never pays his bills. It’s my understanding that several of the lawyers wanted some money up front.
