Square Filters

A while back their was mention on UHH about square filters and holders (similar to Cokin). I can't find it. What companies make these filters and any suggestions. Pros/cons etc. Thanks.

Cokin, IDX, Lee, Nisi, Formatt-Hitech, Benro, Kase Wolverine Series K9, PolarPro, Wine Country Camera filterholders/Blackstone filters. Haida, Marumi, etc etc etc. There are quite a few.

I did lots of research on all of these and read all of the pros/cons before deciding. Took me a good year, but I got there and I'm happy.

More companies than you can shake a stick at, as Gene detailed. I always preferred those from Bob Singh. They tended to be more expensive than most others but the quality was outstanding.

I just got the Nisi V6 holder that comes by itself or in various kits, with different filters. Check it out.

SR71 and Bart, yup, that is a problem. However, they work well with my Hasselblad.

My older ones are Kodak (Wratten), and I’d guess there are still many of those around.
I’ve also used Rosco theatrical gels. While meant to be used over lights, the non-diffused ones can be placed over a lens.

Mine as well. I had always assumed you needed to have square photons in order to use a square format.
