No didn't have it then I used Nikon 610 full frame camera. Who is this do I know you
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but the lake is actually Waterton Lake. I grew up in the Cardston area just east of the park. I was working in the park the day President Kennedy got shot.
The lake itself is half in Alberta and the other half in Montana. You must have spent the night in the Prince of Wales Hotel. It is usually very windy where you were standing. Sometimes to the point of blowing you over.
Your early morning adventure resulted in a very nice picture.
Thank you for sharing.

The picture was taken in Waterton Canada Glacier National Park looking into the USA about 10% of the park is in canada the the rest is in Montana. The hotel there is only open 4 months out of the year the rest of the time they are shoveling snow. Late August is the time that the moon is in that position and full. I took this shot 2AM in the morning
Great capture. Wall hanger!

Beautiful photo and it was worth it to be up at 2AM.
We were there in July 2011 and took the cruise to Goat Haunt and back. It is a beautiful place. We did a one day loop up from Whitefish MT, did the cruise and then drove the Going to the Sun Road back to Whitefish. We drove to Portland the next day via the Columbia River Gorge at sunset.
Great preparation and great result!
