Those were great!
Love that nest!
Would love to watch them build that.

Gee, those nests look like a lot of hard work! I think the shots are great. If you're messing about in Elements perhaps try lightening the birds slightly with the "dodge" tool; I think it will bring out more detail; particularly in their heads.

Those are awesome, I wouldn't change a thing. The detail is great, pretty bird! Love that nest, now that can truly be called recycling.

The nest was built underneath a wall air-con unit, so space was a real issue. I had thought about getting rid of the background with Elements, but I felt that doing that would make it too much like an exhibition picture than an "Au Natural ". (and my experience hasnt got that far yet anyway!
Thanks for the comments...appreciated.

It is fascinating, and all it takes is an airline ticket to Cairns, Australia, You can come-on down....anytime!

My first attempt at photographing "wild birds", a pair of Sunbirds. I used a Canon 400d with a Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro on a tripod and cable release.
Would be interested in the cropping and presentation. I have included the initial photo's and the results after messing with Elements 6, very much a novice.
Appreciate any constructive comments/directions
Thanks, Tradscot

I like the crop. I tend to remove anything that doesn't enhance a picture. This is sharp, nicely done. The next is interesting, tho' . Enjoyed your info regarding this beautiful bird.
