Thanks in advance. The blush color on the side and grey head are confusing me, as the tail looks sparrowish.
It's a Junco which is a type of sparrow - the pink bill is defining.

Does look "sparrowish" (not Jack Sparrowish) - what part of the US and approx. how big? There are so many sparrows, depending on where you are it is probably a "Dark Eyed Junco", from the American Museum Of Natural History - Birds of North America. Looks like a female (pinkish on the sides).
Hope that helps..
Wow! Thanks so much. I knew you guys would come through. I live in northern Indiana and we have plenty of Juncos, I just have never seen a female. Have a great day. :D:D

Definitely looks like female Junco or snowbird as they are nicknamed.

Junco. But where was the subject bird photographed for precise IDing? We always need to know what state and perhaps county if in the West. More so with plant IDs.

I live in northern Indiana. I have tons of Juncos at the seed in the backyard, but have never noticed a female before. I love the blush on her sides.

Cute little thing
There's a whole lot of birds out there that all look like sparrows to me
I checked my copy of Sparrows and Buntings: A Guide to to the Sparrows and Buntings of North America and the World and it looks like what you have is a female Slate Colored Junco. The description of the bird noted that the "Bill pale pink" "Legs dark brownish or greyish flesh. Similar year-round but {bill may be tipped slightly darker in non-breeding plummage.} Thanks for sharing this image with us.
Oh, a Slate colored Junco. Cool. Thanks so much. I found her in my bird book.
