Help cleaning printer.

I have an Epson eco tank printer.
The black ink ran dry, I refilled the tank.
now it prints with white lines thru the image about every 1/2 inch.
So I ran all the maintenance programs , same thing.
I printed a blue spot, red spot, yellow spot
They all printed normally
I printed a black spot and I have lines in it. thus black problems.
I first tried putting paper towels down with cleaner under the head and let it soak onto the print area.
Didnt work.
so Itook it apart, pulled out the plastic contacts and using a syringe
I pushed cleaning fluid thru the little ports of the print head .
Cleaned it up, ran the maintance programs again.
Then printed black and the lines are still there.
Note I didnt have this problem before the tank ran dry.
I really would like t o have a 24inch wide printer
but im really not quite ready to buy one. sooo
Any ideas on what to do next to get this to work???

Did you use the Power Cleaning?
Mine was skip printing on the first line of 5 lines. Regular cleaning did not help. Power Cleaning fixed my problem.

Trick is to
never ever let the ink tanks run dry in the first place. The manual specifically says it can damage your printer.
Try the link below but no guarantees.

It sounds to me you've got some black nozzles that are seriously plugged. You've already tried the things I can think of. Perhaps you could try the syringe cleaning again (perhaps with Windex). Print head replacement is likely more costly than a new printer. I suggest you check out JToolman You tube videos. Jose's a printer guru. He has a fb page. You might send him your question with model and details.

I second Jtoolman. Jose is definitely the epson and cannon guru. He is personable helpful and knowledgeable.
Based on your input. Probably no ink to some parts of the black head or clogged black "holes" in the head. I've put Windex on a paper towel and manually moved the head back and forth over the paper towel until the paper towel is clean. Ammonia is the key. Be sure Windex has ammonia. Or get plain ammonia and mix with Windex. I've also left the paper towel coated with Windex/ammonia in contact with the head overnight. Its possible to damage the head by rubbing it with a paper towel. My approach was "I got nothing now -- so I'll give it a go before I have to buy a new printer." You may want to get some "test prints" on the internet that print blocks of color. I would print on (plain copy) paper lots o' black prints and see if just running the ink through the head helps to clear the clog or bring new ink to the black ports in the head. Lots of ideas on the internet for how to clean Epson heads. Good Luck and stay safe.
Persistence paid off for me. Used similar methods on a canon (windex on paper towel, placing head in tray to soak with windex, left overnight two or three days) and then did it all over again...eventually freed up the clog.
I would call Epson (562) 276-1305. They can walk you thru it.

My last Epson printer leaked ink from the printhead, ruining the printer, the table it was on and stored paper.
Get another printer, just not an Epson.
Google "How to clean print heads on Epson printer. 'There several how to steps and videos
How do you run out of black ink if the black nozzles are clogged? I would tend to think there's not enough fresh ink making it to the printhead. Since I've never been around an eco-tank printer, I'll just leave you with that thought.
