Canon (I have a Canon Pro 1000) and Moab. B&H has good pricing on Canon paper. I like the Canon Pro Luster for most things. I like the Moab papers for higher-end projects. I use the Moab Entradalopes (Rag Natural) for cards.

Images don't always display best on all papers. I usually look at the image and select a paper based on the content. For example, for black and white images, or those that are low key - baryta-type papers are particularly good. Paper surfaces also impact how well the image will display - what works with a high gloss paper may not look best on a matte or lustre paper. I use a variety of papers from Hahnemühle, Canson, Red River, and in my case with an Epson printer, Epson paper.

I interpret you comment on baryta paper to mean that it does a good job with the tone curve in the black area. I am wondering where you find matte paper works best?

I'm looking to purchase high quality photo paper. I have used Lexjet in the past however they are getting too expensive. 16x19 would be the biggest print job for me. Any suggestions on companies that offer quality paper?

I've tried many - Epson, Ilford, etc. but Red River in variety of types are what I finally settled in on and use. They have such a wide variety of quality paper and color profiles for each and tutorials/help are great.

I use Costco photo glossy paper in my Epson P600. Really good quality at an unbeatable price.

Canon
Epson
Hahnemuhle
HP
Ilford Galerie inkjet
Magic Inkjet
Moab
Pacific Inkjet
Red River

That’s a start. Most are makers of, or sources for high quality photo papers.

As some have said you should check out sample packs of paper from a few suppliers. The sample packs are free or inexpensive. Also check our You Tube videos by JToolman regarding photo paper. I heard there are only 5 or 6 photo paper factories in the world and many private label brands are the same paper as high end brands in different packaging. Personally I really like Red River Polar Gloss Metallic, especially with B&W.

Wow, you have a big printer! I can go to 13×17. I agree with the other UHH members.
