I have not been able to find bottles of dye ink to refill CLI 42 cartridges. Any leads are greatly appreciated.

Very pleased using Precision Colors on my Epson Expression Photo 960. Decided to try Ink Owl and the ink is fine; however,in my opinion the cartridges are cheaper and of smaller capacity than those of Precision Colors. When Ink Owl goes dry, I will return to Precision Colors.
I buy my ink from Canon. They sell it on their web site or take orders by phone.
If you want to refill the 42s its Precision Colors. See above. Tremendous savings over Canon ink. If you don't want to mess with refilling then get Canon or other 3rd party. 3rd party is hit and miss. Try some suggestion are on here or the internet.
Guy on YouTube goes over everything about Precision Color and how to refill. Seller on eBay will drill and clean your Canon 42s. If you go Canon -- sell the empties on eBay. Canon 100=great printer. Canon hit a home run with that printer. Good Luck and stay safe.

I currently use three Canon inkjets, including the Pro-100. I’ve tried a few other brands in the past, but once I switched to Precision Colors my search for a quality refill ink was over. They have all the related supplies needed for refilling. Be sure to order their Squeezy Cap bottles. Those bottle caps with blunt tip needles greatly reduce any chance of ink spills while refilling.
