A Walk In The Woods Today

There was a break in the weather today with sun and a temperature of 52-degrees so I could not resist taking a walk through the woods with camera in hand. I had made a new vellum tracing-paper diffuser for my flash that I was eager to try out so that gave me two reasons to get out into the woods.

The woods were quite still today with perhaps only a few birds and one squirrel. No green to be found other than moss and a few sprigs scattered about.

Other than laying on the ground at times and contemplating how I was going to get back up, it was an enjoyable outing.

Thanks, there's not much else in our woods right now. Not a green leaf to be found yet there are patterns and textures everywhere so there will always be something for the eye to find.

Looks like the woods around here, sippy. We may have a little more green than you do. Nice set.

Thanks, Kpmac. My goal was to try out an over-the-lens macro diffuser that I made from vellum tracing paper and a stiff electrical wire "frame". Think of it much like a "pool skimmer" that one would use to get leaves out of their pool except instead of mesh it has two layers of tracing paper on it.

It's a first attempt so if it shows promise I will make a better version of it.

Thanks, our weather patterns are a roller coaster ride so we have to make the most out of the nice moments we are given.

Thanks, and I got a cramp in my inner thigh when a muscle knotted up and for a bit I didn't know if I would make it up the hill to get back to the car. I guess the old saying, "No pain...no gain" holds true for walks in the woods too.
