Good shots....keep going!
Wow, I don't know that I've seen any better!
Wayne fabulous Soccer series! Truly impressive pivotal soccer moments so beautifully captured!
Your Canon EOS 5D Mark III with it's epic 61 cross-type AF points nailed focus spot on even at f/2.8!
And the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM is legendary. Locking perfect focus on these fast moving players.
All captures are at f/2.8... with the 1st and 2nd at 1/5000 and the 3rd at 1/3200. I'm now rethinking my soccer setting after viewing your success here... Good Show Wayne!
All the best on your wonderful photographic journey Wayne...
Keep posting... I'm looking forward to more of your awesome soccer renderings.
Please stay safe...
Thank you. Last couple years I’ve been doing game photography for two local semi-pro soccer teams, Granit City FC “Rocks” and FC Minneapolis (the City Lions). They give me lots of practice. I have my camera set on aperture priority, single point focus, back button focus, Al Servo and burst mode. I always set-up with the sun at my back, that puts light on their faces when they are coming at me and I try to get the ball in the shot and also their facial expressions if possible. I think the ball adds context, without the ball it’s just some guys running down the field. I think the pictures where you get the ball and the expression on their faces are the best.
