I am 69, semi-retired, and have been taking pictures since I was in grade school with a variety of cameras, but I still consider myself a novice. Last spring I purchased a Fujifilm x-t200 camera with several lenses - incentive to learn more and to go outdoors during the pandemic. I have completed a couple photography classes and joined a local "shutterbugs" club. In addition, I collect antique cameras. I first logged onto UglyHedgehog a couple months ago at the suggestion of a friend.

Welcome. I am 73 and looking for a local photography group in the Sarasota area. Any suggestions or contacts you care to share. PW
The Shutterbugs that I mentioned are part of the Osher Life Long Institute (OLLI) at USF here in Tampa. Of course with the pandemic, we are not doing outings. Some of us post photos on the dedicated Facebook page. There also is a photography museum (FOPA)in Tampa. Other sources might be Meetup or try a Google search.
Shutterbugs, which I mentioned, is part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at USF here in Tampa. We are not doing any group outings because of the pandemic, but we have a Facebook page for posting shots we have taken on our own. Tampa also has a photography museum (FMoPA), which has programs and groups.
Google photography groups in Sarasota and check out the Meetup site.

Hi. I retired from the Army in 1981 following my final stateside assignment at MacDill Air Force Base there in Tampa. We had a house in Brandon, just east of Tampa. Sold it and moved to SC in 2006, to be closer to family members farther north. I took a few pictures along Bayshore Blvd, which had reportedly the longest continuous sidewalk in the world.
