I loved my D7500. Lightweight and easy to use. I travled through London, Sweden and Iceland, and down the river through the Grand Canyon with it and it always worked flawlessly. I've since traded it in as I got a Z6 and had a D810. I highly recommend the D7500.
I am 74 years old and use the D7500 and Sigma 100-400mm when I have a lot of walking to do. If I am driving and just stopping or looking in one area I use the D500 with the 500mm pf lens. The D7500 is a great camera and has a lot of good features. Steve Perry has a review of the D7500 that I would recommend.
I have had the D7500 for several years. I love it. Second card slot meant nothing to me, as I have been shooting digital since the first cameras came out and they all had one slot. The kit lenses had excellent reviews and shooting in the field proved the reviews to be accurate. I am using the Nikon 16-80 VR as the main lens, along with the 10-20VR, 55-85VR and 70-300VR. I shoot to produce fine art prints concentrating on landscapes, nature, architecture, autos and trains. I also do model shoots and always performs flawlessly! Costco usually has a great deal around the holidays for the package!

I have liked my 7500 but after 13 mo the main board failed not on warranty if this is a fluke camera is great although now use 810 7500 was light weight which was great with the 200 500 although still heavy tools it to Europe for 3 weeks was pleased with results. Does not have slot for second card which was ok for me and screen not as much resolution as d500 but also was ok for me. 21 megapixels ok but now have 36 so better fo cropping so depends on what you photograph
OMG that was hard to read.
I have some D-lenses what are bad in focusing on the 7000 & 7100- I didn’t try it on the 7500, sorry. On my 810 not a problem at all.

My D lenses work awesome on my D7000 & D7100 - as they should.
So.... what are you trying to say?
D lenses work on the D7500 also.
thanks to all for your comments. I think this is the camera for me.
I like mine. The only problems are one card slot and no battery grip.
It looks like Nikon is dumbing down the 7xxx line now that they are ending the 3xxx and 5xxx series.
Pushing the mirrorless cameras that are the future of cameras.
