#1 is best. #2 has too much white from the water. #3 has a tad bit too much foreground for my taste. #4 is just a little distracting with the our of focus frame. #5 is OK but seems a little "out of context" whereas I personally prefer the whole "story" shown in #1. The series is a good example of different approaches to a subject. Thanks for posting.

Scott, these are a good start. However, they all seem a bit on the hot side, overexposed. There is a lot of textural possibilities with the water that are missing. The window frames appear to be a bit hot as well. Due to the additional exposure in these, a lot of details in the wood of the building are just not there in the photograph.
