Thought I would give it a shot with a shorter lens, most of my moon shots are with the 400mm or a 200 with a teleconverter. This one is at 105mm on a 7D, cropped heavily.

Nice shot.....since the moon is so bright, I suspect you don't need to worry about a long exposure?? what were your camer5a setting......
