Nothing is going to happen to Trump no one is going to jail.
I say it again it seems like a well scripted movie.
We could all be getting played regardless of party

He just trolls.

It did seem that he didn't know the difference.

Is your misinterpretation of my post deliberate? I did not try to defend the violence that resulted from BLM marches. I did identify that in the BLM marches, as with the Wednesday Insurrection, not all participants engaged in the destruction. Although the percentage of crowd participating in Wednesday's destructions was larger in the Save America rally.

The point, which you conveniently overlook is that in NO cases of the BLM marches were a violent overthrow attempted. However, that was the sole purpose of the Wednesday Insurrection. Far too many of you attempt the false narrative of equating the two by ignoring the overthrow attempt and resulting death to what the was purpose of the BLM marches. It is dissembling at its best or worst depending how you wish to view it.

I apologize if felt like I was assailing YOU, or your post. What I continually hear and see in media (and here) is how this riot was fundamentally different from BLM. It was not, unless you suggest that 6 months of Federal Buildings in smoldering ashes is somehow not actually Federal Buildings.

I admit to being as angered as you intimated you are, but I've been that way for MONTHS, not weeks. I've been almost enraged enough to escalate my protest in the vein of BLM and the idiots in DC. The focus of my rage, though is mostly with media and the left that own the media. I admit I seized on this line from your post, feeling you were suggesting by omission that ONLY Trump or his supporters could be guilty are guilty of insurrection or that only the right has spoken words that smell like a call to violence.

[Finally, the BLM marches did not have the President, his son, and his lawyer exhorting the mob to "fight". They should be charged with inciting a riot at the very least.]

I generally agree the DC stuff was stupid, criminal, ill advised and counterproductive. Wait, counterproductive.... that does make a big difference. BLM got national media praise, earned private meetings with city leaders and altered politicians' platforms for their trouble, where right side idiots with false beliefs rightfully are scorned.

Serious question: were there really federal buildings reduced to smoldering ashes, especially over a six month period. Seems like that would be a lot of buildings.

But were some federal buildings actually burned down? I either missed it or I forgot. I know several were assaulted.

Thanks for your response. I don't think anyone liked what happened in Portland except those who delight in lawlessness and the resulting chaos. However, I still can't rationalize what happened at the Capital Building. The summer was linear, DC was a much greater order of magnitude.... murder and an attack on the foundation of our Constitution. Don't get me wrong, I don't like what happened in Portland but I cannot accept what happened in DC.

Exactly right, Shutterbug1697!

The foremost group of angry rioters had just broken out the glass of that chamber's double doors, and she had jumped up into the opening to be the first one through, and was poised to go inside. The shot knocked her backwards into the rioters and onto her back on the floor among them.

I've watched many hours of footage of this whole MAGA debacle and have only seen this footage that one time, on CNN, and was shocked that they even showed it; it was that graphic.

Exactly correct. She actually saved lives because others realized what they were doing was for really. She's no martyr. She's a pathetic soul who gave her life for a false cause. Her death was used..

A helpful rule of thumb I borrowed from a friend...

Huge numbers of our population believe in a complete alternate reality. Alternate facts as it were.

As intensely as I believe they are deluded, they think I am the one who is deluded. Maybe I am. So how can I be confident in my perception?

It can be quite difficult.

However, I have found that in times of political confusion, particularly when emotions are running high and creating tunnel vision, the presence of Nazis can be an extremely helpful indicator.

If I am attending a local demonstration or event and I see Nazis…neo-Nazis, casual Nazis, master race Nazis, or the latest-whatever-uber-mythology-Nazis, I figure out which side they are on.

And if they are on my side of the demonstration? I am on the wrong side.

It is tough to argue moral equivalence when I am standing next to a Nazi.
Look to my right. Is there a guy wearing a 6MWE (6 million wasn’t enough) t-shirt?
I am on the wrong side.

Look to my left. If that guy is wearing a Camp Auschwitz t-shirt? Wrong side.

Are speakers being applauded for referring to things that Hitler got right? Wrong side.

Team-spirit face paint and hat with animal horns? This is actually an unclear indicator that could mean anything, but safest to keep my distance from that guy anyway, even at a football game.

However, I can always, always, always rely on the presence of Nazis as a guiding light through a fog of disinformation.

Some things are relative, and politics can absolutely have its opposing sides and grey areas. But evil and good are absolute. As are the lessons of history.

So, just look for the Nazis, and make your own decisions.

That’s quite an answer slo. Much deflection there? You don’t give a damn about the riot and deaths. Instead you focus on an “a”. Wow - you truly are a piece of jerk.

Right, and I suppose the Article of Impeachment because of that statement and others like it are pure BS and that over 200 people endorse it are fools.... but of course, you believe everything trump says and the election was stolen. Come Eddie, don't waste your time pushing false narratives.

Your inability to see the truth and deal with it honestly is tragic.....

I have come to the conclusion that I will believe the exact opposite of whatever you say... not just about me.... but about anything you post here.
