Forever I have drooled over a D750, but have always had too many commitments to Go for it !! at Christmas Father Xmas managed to force His way down my Chimney and delivered Me One !!! Somehow My Family knew... A week later a friend of mine offered me a Nikon D600 with 800 Actuations on it for which I swapped for a guitar from My collection
... My dilemma is, I now need to get a lens for each that will fulfill my requirements... This time around I need to make the right decisions and get Quality lenses... I Love wildlife, and Landscape Photography, Has anyone got any Suggestions as to what I should buy ?? Or even better have they any Lenses that they have for Sale ... With all Sincerity... Trevor...

For wildlife any of the 150-600mm, or 200-500mm lenses from Nikon, Tamron, or Sigma would serve you very well on those bodies. For landscape on those full frames a 24-70mm F2.8 would be a great choice.

For low light photography, look at Tamron's SP series prime lenses. The 35mm f/1.8, 45mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, and 90mm f/2.8 all have vibration compensation. They also have a metal lens barrel and are fully weather sealed. The combination of the large maximum aperture and vibration compensation make them great low light lenses. I have the Tamron 45mm f/1.8 that I use on my D750.

If I were making the decision I would first get a good walk-around lens such as the 24-120mm or, if you can afford it, the 24-70mm VR lens. Then I would look at lenses recommended by MT Shooter. Nice cameras. Good luck.

From my film days I had 3 good lenses. 20-35 f2.8, 35-70 f2.8 and a 80-200 f2.8. They served my needs fro everything that I wanted to shoot. They were used to shoot weddings, with the 35-70 being the workhorse. 200mm was a little short for wildlife but that was not my passion. The recommended 24-70 is going to be the most useful lenses you'll ever own, It's good for landscapes, portraits and events. Then you want a long lens for wildlife. The suggestions that I've read run toward 400mm and up, but again that is not my passion.

You will find the D750 a superior camera, lots of oil on sensor issues with D600 in fact Nikon replaced mine with a D610. You may ck, they still may be exchanging them? I sold the 610 immediately and bought a new D750. Enjoy your camera, recommend you try Tamron 150-600 G2 and the Nikon 200-500 out in the store on your body. I found the Nikon heavier and harder to get my small hands around at the time.

I use the Tamron 24-70 G2 series as a walk-around lens for my D750. This Tamron is about half the price of its Nikon cousin.

You may want to consider a prime also. I may trade/sell my Nikkor 16-35mm f/4 for a prime 20mm.

The most recent f/4 VR version is much better than the previous 24-120 versions.

I have an excellent copy of that one. Love it. $69 on Ebay. Many AF-D lenses on EBay at very reasonable prices.
