An attractive scene, Cany. Beautiful in DL. I was waiting for some additional, entertaining comments, but I’ll put my oar in now.

I take it that this image was easier to achieve than the one of the Hiker and his Dog. That said, how many images were used to produce the final result? Also, what f-stop did you use and were they the same for each shot? And, finally, did the weather change?

Additional, entertaining comments, Grey? Eh? Wot?

Easier to achieve in the sense that no scrambling was involved; just had to stagger across the open, snow covered, rattlesnake infested flats until I found a spot that was suitable. Though why anybody'd want to wear a suit out there is anybody's guess.

Shot five shots, but really only needed three to do the stack. Aperture was set at f8 and be there, which was handy because there is where I was. In his Analects, Confucius cautioned against changing apertures in mid stack, so....

Another winner Jim. Your mention of mackerel sky sent me to google and then I thought about "buttermilk sky"and found that they are the same thing. That got me to remembering that song "Ole buttermilk sky" I'm keeping my eye peeled on you. Hoagy Carmichael among others. Ole mackerel sky just doesn't work. However, keeping your eye "peeled" is an essential quality of a good photographer.
