Not here.

What are you trying to do with Ted? Buy something? Repair something? Where is Ted located?

No experience, but I checked the Z50 at their website....

First alarm, they offer 3rd party warranties.
2nd alarm, Nikon USA warranty not listed in the "what's in the box" info.

Conclusion they are selling grey market items that Nikon will not repair even if you offer to pay.

I found a web page with reviews of Ted's and my conclusion was confirmed...they sell grey market. Also a number of reviewers received cameras with cracked display screens and didn't get much help from Ted's.

Run away....quickly. There is no free lunch.

The camera manufacturers set the prices on their equipment. So any place which offers lower prices than the legit retailers are either selling grey market, doing bait and switch, or something else shady.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I was wondering if it is possible/practical to get Nikon grey market cameras & lenses repaired offshore.

I almost bought from Ted's, but realized they have terrible reviews - grey merchandise and poor customer service.

Buy from a reputable dealer. I use B+H. All Nikon prices are regulated by Nikon.

I still wouldn't buy from a shady outfit that deals in grey market and generally has a bad reputation. There are reputable merchants that deal in used camera equipment.

I believe I've seen that username as a seller on ebay with a 100% (or very near that) positive rating. Seems like that wouldn't be the case if he had a lot of dissatisfied customers. But all the products I've seen him pushing are the really low end level stuff. Didn't even know he sells cameras. If a camera is priced really low there is usually a good reason for that.
