There has been much debate regarding these upcoming stimulus checks. Many claim it should have been $2000. And, some say nothing more should be given out? Zero. What's your opinion?

To me this means: Do I want a new $600 camera, or a new $2000 camera. Or maybe a lens.

I think $2000.00 is the right number. If the Republicans' don't vote for it, then we should vote them all out of office. They don't care about us.

I guess the government should take better care of us. We shouldn't have to fend for ourselves.
We shouldn't have to be prepared for any downturn. We shouldn't have to plan for the future.
Vote out the people who won't take care of us.
($5,000.00 would be better yet.)

I wonder why THEY make so much money at our expense.

To others in means being able to pay the electric, water, buy food, buy gas, ...

And to others it may mean that they can leave a hefty tip for the employees at a local family owned restaurant that is hurting.

And that is the problem - it is not targeted - some really need that and more, and some don’t need it at all. Now if you asked me how to target it more fairly, I’ll admit up front that I don’t have a clue, but somehow just giving money away indiscriminately and increasing the national debt doesn’t seem like a great policy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m always glad for a monetary gift, and if I don’t need it, I can donate it to a worthy cause, but frankly, I’d rather see unemployment benefits for all those who have suddenly lost their livelihood and small business aid increased instead.

They are all Millionaires, do you think they care about our country or its citizens. I'm talking about both sides of the isle. Now if the Dems want to give illegals' all the benefits we worked for--for free, than yes, give me $2000.00 and yes, you have a better idea $5000.00.

We've been supporting a couple of our local restaurants 3-4 times a week instead of once a week.
Nice tip for Christmas (for take-out...).
Yea, the unemployment support would be nice, that might be one way to better distribute the monies to people who need it, the ones out of work because of the Covid restrictions. So many small Ma&PA businesses are really hurting, mostly indoor restaurants I'll guess. Some are closing.

Replace them all!
Especially the ones who provide total support for illegals.
Just try getting into another country illegally and see where it gets you.
Certainly not free food and housing.
(Well, maybe yes, in jail.)

Because they only care about themselves. We pay them to work for us. How the hell did they all become millionaires on $183.000.00 a year. That's why.

Stop sending billions of dollars to countries that hate us and take care of the homeless vets and other homeless familes first. I mysef would like to see the ccc [civilian conservation corps] brought back.think of all the unemployed people they could put to work doing work that needs to be done on roads etc in the cities and towns and in the National Parks and the State Parks and at the same time learning a trade that will support themselfs. I dont belive in just giving out money to those who are fully capable of working and refuse to do so. If you are getting more on unemployment then you were when you were working why would you go back to work. This last stimulus package has Billions of dollars going to countries that does not have anything to do with covid -19.

I completely agree on reconstituting the CCC. We have many millions of unemployed who need work and a huge amount of work on our infrastructure that’s needed. Every able bodied person should have the opportunity to work - good for their self esteem and good for our country.
