Farmington Bay is an 18,000 acre wildfowl management area on the Great Salt Lake just across I-15 from Farmington, UT, a community about 20 miles north of Salt Lake City.
This area has many resident and migrating species. It is the source of many local bird photos, so I decided to visit it. It is much closer to me than Bear Ears MBR, my usual bird area visit.
As usual, I arrived before the sun got there. These shots track the sun rise. The attached set shows views in the WMA of the area and its surroundings. I will post the bird shots tomorrow.
Downloads are the best to see these dim shots.
Great set, Mike. I'm looking forward to your bird images. I hope they are as good as these landscapes!
#2 and 4 Are killer shots, Mike...I did a quick drive by this past Sunday while running an errand and everything was frozen over.

Mighty beautiful! That seems to be a lonely stretch of road. Good place to be alone and contemplative...

Thanks, Joe. The whole waterfowl management area is generally lonely (except for birds).
