Christmas really sucked for me this year.

The term "1st world problems" should have given it away.
Some examples of 1st world problems:
"man! It is snowing real heavy. Now I have to shovel the drive."
"It's pouring rain and I need to go get cigarettes."
"The refrigerator is too full. I can't get the rest of these groceries in!"
Hence, my dilemma with my train ornaments. A real 1st world problem.

I feel for you, Tom, Christmas was so bad for me that I would have been happy if Santa had given me a chunk of coal.
Ha, ha! I get it. I'm with you, Earnest!

I got ya beat. My tree has 380 nutcracker ornaments on it. I have a room full of nutcrackers also. (450+) and not cheap ones from the Far East.
Wow! do I ever know the nutcracker thing! My daughter in law is building up quite a collection. Not nearly as big as years. Just give her a few years. Oh, boy!

My tree only has lights--it's a pre-lit artificial tree. When I got indoor cats I stopped putting ornaments on the tree because they attracted the cats. Prior to that I had real trees with hand-strung lights and ornaments. I've still got one ornament that had been on my first Christmas tree more than 80 years ago.
Fortunately, our cat doesn't bother the tree. How old are you? 100? God bless you!

Only 83 (last week), but sometimes it feels older. I believe the ornament mentioned was on my family's tree in 1938.

Good! I am glad we cleared that up. Lately I have been quite worried about my own mortality and my ability to collect my Social Security if they raise the age of retirement again. The saving grace for me is that I don't own any ornaments that are anywhere close to as old as yours. I would be terribly happy if I even make it to 80. Thank you, Dave.

Thanks, Rob. I took some parting shots of some of my rolling stock before I had to put them away. Here is an example:
