A local homeowner's Christmas display here in Independence, KY was recently included on the TV show called "The Great Christmas Light Fight." The show used footage from last year's display, but this guy is well known around here and has been doing this for years. Anyway, my wife and I went by there on Christmas Eve and I took a couple photos of this year's display that turned out okay and I thought I'd share one. This photo is a SOOC JPEG, as I haven't had time to work with the RAW file, but I thought it was worth sharing while it's still Christmas. I can't imagine how many hours and how much money this guy has tied up in this display and you can't even see his backyard in the photo which goes on and on. Anyway, everyone please enjoy and have a safe and satisfying Holiday season. Oh yeah, it looks better in download.

I love it! I do believe that “too many Christmas lights” is an oxymoron.
It's definitely beautiful. I do 0 decorating but I live alone and have no grandchildren so why bother. And I hope it stays that way until my daughter marries.
Wow, a lot of work and expensive as you indicated. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!😀
His Energy Company must love him!
I love the lights and love your photo of it. In your photo I can see the owner standing in front of his car. Have you considered offering him a print of your excellent photograph?

Yeah, the owner pretty much stayed out front talking to visitors and answering questions, etc. I think he really enjoys the attention, but I bet the neighbors hate all the traffic. I had passing cars mess up a couple attempts to take the photos. Anyway, I like your idea of giving him a print and will do so as soon as possible.
A great display and really fine photo! How do you keep the lights from "blooming"? My pictures of my own lights all do that.
Wow awsome. Would love to see it in person
