In summer 2015, my church choir made a tour of Europe including several days in Paris, France. During my travels there I photographed several statues. Here they are:

At least they aren't tearing down their statues in France. If extremists in this country aren't stopped they will end up destroying our entire history.

I don't think it is gold. I have seen it on statures in Germany and in churches. I am unsure what it is but it sure has the appearance of gold.
