If you view the image at 100%; check the expression and the direction of
gaze of the woman in black at the right 1/3 of the frame.

I'd like to know what has transpired?

Wow! Street photography at its best! Isn't this what this genre all about? Capturing that fleeting moment that says so much? There are so many possibilities that the viewer of this wonderful photo can imagine regarding that "gaze."

Nice capture, maybe she's looking at you taking the picture.

Where does this picture come from? Did you take it?
I first assumed the waitress was smiling and VERY interested in the person sitting. However, when I enlarged her face, the furrowed brow indicates otherwise.
The angst on the woman on the right is heart-rending.
If this is truly Street Photography, it definitely raises the old issue of privacy.
Frankly, I strongly suspect it is staged. Returning to the woman in black on the right background, I sure hope it's staged.

I keep coming back to this picture. Frankly, it is disturbing.
The person on the left does not seem to be the focus of the standing woman who may be a waitress. The sitting woman has her arm around a small child.
Under the poster on the right about social distancing, there appear to be two people possibly watching the interaction.
Since I do not recognize the social distancing posters, and as they are in English, and the building does not have an English appearance, I assume the venue is Australia.

It doesn't look like NY but if it is, she's thinking how much I can sue the photographer for. "I didn't sign a model release form."

The woman in black is clearly upset about something. I guess that's why I seldom do street photography. I would get so caught up in the what-ifs, then I'd worry about them, and that would ruin the picture for me.

You are over reading the photo. The girl in black merely has post eating gas and has to go to the bathroom. She is disturbed by the screaming little girl the waitress is looking at. :)
