Gee. I wonder how many of those people in those lines were doing just fine until they were deemed 'non-essential' by some petty tyrant?
Who never gave up a paycheck.

Then it would’ve an “aid” bill with no chance of republicans voting yes. I appreciate financial conservatism, but that restraint should have happened before the tax break for corporations and the rich bill. Those who voted against this relief (my Senator included) while adding pork are despicable.
The six senators that voted against the relief did not add any pork. They voted against the entire spending bill. And, given that they were not given a copy of the bill in time to read it before the vote I agree with their vote. Everyone should have voted no since they had not read it.

Restaurants have no trouble getting customers????
You live in a dream world .
Either people don’t have money to pay rent but food let alone go out to eat or they are hoarding what cash they have because of an uncertain.

I don't know where you live, but when restaurant's in Oregon are allowed to open they have standing room only crowds. Heck we have had people sitting out in the snow just to get to eat out.
Today I went to the dentist. I was going to eat a take out fast food meal afterwards since the dentist is 40 miles from my house and it was time for lunch. But, I couldn't find a place to park to place my order. The parking lot shared by Chipotle, Five Guys and Jersey Mikes was so full of people eating take out that there was no place to park.
The "stimulus package" also offers vast powers of immunity to large businesses.
A lot of individual "Youtube video) streams will be verboten- they'll need to be issued by a "professional".
Thank you Moscow Mitch! Spmetimes I forget what freedoms we Americans still have left. Had.
Mitch Moscow McConnell is now pretending to be Ebenezer Scrooge but really does not give a damn about that looser Tiny Tim.
Foolishly many blame congress, wrongly.
Greed runs in his heritage, when print was expensive and in short supply, the Mc'Onel family ancestors changed their name to hoarded more C, N, and L letters to add to their name... the greed DNA.

Florida’s restaurants are open and they are all doing very well with plenty of customers so maybe Florida is the dreamworld

Nothing for our struggling restaurant industry but plenty for this. Everyone of these "law" makers need to be booted out...all of them. I guess we know where the campaign money comes from. Also 6000 pages. Tell me who read it.
Our governing Congress has become simply a collection of morons with at best, pea brains.
Yes, most of the money does not go to us but to others that don't need it. Great job congress. "Another day older and deeper in debt"

F the virus open now while taking precaution like Home Depot and Walmart get to do. I'm glad Idaho is allowing our restaurants and bars to operate while taking precautions.
I just sent a scathing email to our representatives in Washington about voting in favor of Pelosi’s pork barrel covid package!! I asked them how ten million dollars to Pakistan for gender studies is going to help Americans pay rent, feed families and cover everyday costs! 600 to citizens is a joke after the money they just approved for pet projects!!

The only thing that will save the restaurant industry is customers .
A government slug of money that promotes restaurants staying open. . Standing around without customers is dumb. The only solution to the restaurant dilemma is getting the virus under control and customers coming back in their doors
See any of my posts about this embarassment. The bill is an atrocity

Those are NOT provisions of the stimulus bill. They are provisions of the general spending bill to which the stimulus package was attached.
It helps to understand what you are complaining about.
Call it whatever you like. In this day and age when America is borrowing money from China is it not about as stupid as can be for our country, in the middle of a pandemic, to be sending money, any amount of money to other countries. Why do we continue to do that? Why can't those countries borrow money from China? Why is it the American Liberals feel the need to subsidize other countries, even some who hate Americans, when they seem to be doing well on their own.
Look at the list Idaho provided. What on that list is necessary that money should go toward those countries instead of American citizens?
Why are more millions going to The Kennedy Center? What a ridiculous waste of money. I can understand giving money, individual payments to Kennedy Center employees. But giving millions to the Center itself is just plain ridiculous. Doesn't the Kennedy Center have donors who give millions of dollars, don't the Center make money from performances?

In other words back to the swamp!
You are exactly right. This is swamp like behavior where millions to Billions get spent with no reasonable explanation of why that money is spent. Then taxes will have to increase to pay for all the bullshit the Liberals want to pay for. But the Left wants it this way. They want to have no limits on spending. What a shame for Americans who do not want to support BS money going to pork projects.
