This very bad image was sent to me by a friend in Spain but it's still recognisable. "Cancelada" means "Cancelled".
The painting is off the last supper (Easter).
A more current view would be an empty stable...
It's been a bit odd celebrating both at home, but I certainly felt the difference more at Easter.
Why would an empty stable be more current? The comment is not about Christmas. The deserted Last Supper is a comment about groups not assemblng due to COVID-19. Is that not current?

How can it be considered cynical when it is blatantly fact?
I thought it was a clever image and a play on words that highlighted the present crisis the world is passing through. It had nothing whatsoever to do with Christmas.
Please don't politicise it so that it gets moved to the Attic as happened to one of my recent posts.
