And another attempted smear by those on the left. The GOP can avoid a debate or have a debate, take a vote or not, and have the proposal pass or not, and it will make ZERO impact, aside from wasting Congress' time. Altering the Electoral College is altering the Constitution and requires an amendment. That, in turn, requires 38 states to ratify. That will not happen. Even low population 'blue' states have reason to reject the proposal, as a straight majority vote has the potential to overrun their interests as well. Hawaii is a prime example. Why would Hawaii vote for an amendment that has the distinct possibility of fast tracking bad energy policy that would effectively ban travel to, and tourism in, Hawaii? Hawaii could be eviscerated economically by the implementation of the abject foolishness (and 100 trillion in expense, if there are no economic losses....yeah right) seen in the language of the Green New Deal.
This argument, of course, is only necessary if 14 of the 28 GOP majority/majority State Houses look to abandon constitutional principles that protect the numerical minority, and also protect the remainder of the Constitution.
