Haven't posted many images here over my years of membership.
Saw this December 20th Free Sunday,...so thought I'd post a couple.
I've never used auto focus anything,..kinda take pride being comfortable with the techniques I learned back in the early 1960's,...I'm kind of a dinosaur of sorts, I use a lot of old glass and just prefer the feel and satisfaction of manual everything.
I modeled my gear and shooting techniques after John Shaw back in the day.
Do I miss certain types of images as a result?....yes,..but I'm okay with that....most of what I photograph stays pretty still,...doesn't require auto follow focus.
The hedgehog is my homepage and I have always enjoyed keeping abreast with the knowledge base shared here.
"Snow Capped Rosehip"
Yearning to photograph something with snow while housebound temporarily with no car,...so I opted to telecommute from the wife's garden with this subject.
NikonD810,...Zeiss 100mm makro lens,...PN-11 extension tube,
...1/20 sec @ f 8,...ISO 200,...Tripod,...Manual Settings
******************************************************
"Seine Net and Piling"
Nikon D800E,...500mm Nikkor lens,...1/125 sec @ f 8,...ISO 200
Tripod,...Manual Settings
Thanks for many years of enjoyment here on UHH,..will stay on for the duration whatever that may be,...be well all.

Absolutely lovely. Very nice motif and focus!
We are all in this together.
.
Count your blessing and Be always grateful...
I love #1 with the gray background and strong red and white color centered to draw the eyes in. Nicely done.

Great picture of the Eagle. But somehow I do not believe the sky!
So, as far as I know this isn't your standard free Sunday challenge. For one thing, it's Monday, and there are only four pictures posted.
Also...
The quality of these for pictures is top notch. As far as strong starts go, the three members who posted these pictures have hit it out of the park.

Both are very Nice, although #2 I like the Idea of "Leading-Lines", with the Netting hanging on the Post.
