Time will tell but the CHina Trump relationship is toxic and both are too stubborn to move. And, this is compounded by trump's on-going battle of words. Naming calling as trump continues to do is totally counter-productive. I don't think he had a chance of resolving the stalemate. The only issue is how tough will Biden be with the Chinese. In my "humble" opinion, he's the only chance we could have.

I agree that Trump had the right idea but the execution of it couldn't have been much worse. We are far too dependent on the Chinese. I don't expect Biden to be tough with them but we'll see. Much depends on who he surrounds himself with.
