Right now it’s about the heart and soul of this country. Those who want to keep the freedoms we love or those who wish to unknowingly turn our sovereignty over to China

The point is, you haven't read through the thread and just reacted to the last post - or - you just another trump bigot. For anyone with an ability to read and comprehend, the rebuttal is clear.

I read through all of them.
Nobody associates with Bundy or Doyle, yet Warlock never stopped worshiping Farrakhan and Marx while pushing their great ideas that have killed many countries attempting to live them.
If you also think they are good ideas, move yourself to one of those countries and leave the rest of us with a system that has lasted centuries longer than anything you can come up with.

Your focus is correct, China is the biggest threat to our welfare but our exposure to their threat is not because of an elected democratic administration (as much as you would like it to be).

Blind little sheep like yourself have trouble seeing the chart of who in the democrat party is in who's pocket.
So far all of the chinese spies have associated themselves and bedded with dems in high places.

LOL - good morning Mr. McGoo, how're your misperceptions working out for you? Did the lamp provide a good shower? You do realize your FOS regarding "Warlock"? That's only what you want to believe because you hate him - quite evident. GO back to bed; stop pushing lies.

Very and thus, misperceiving all around him. The cartoon is Mr. McGoo getting ready for a shower think his lamp is the showerhead. I though it is fitting for some of them.

Sorry, I thought that was understood. Their myopia is dangerous, not just to themselves but to all of us.

Both parties were in on it. But ask yourself who would be best to lead us out of it. I know you think Biden is. But I will side with Trump

And don't forget unrepentant bombers Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn who schooled B.O. on Saul Olinsky's '

Sorry about this long answer but I know China is a major issue for you and the US. So, here are my thoughts about the current situation and how we go forward from here.

I like the fact that trump got tough with them and put China on notice. However, while his strategy of getting tough was good, his tactics were poorly executed. The trade war has not hurt China very much, our balance of trade with them is now even worse! Their response to our tariffs was to cut purchases of farm products. Corn, soybean growers have been hit particularly hard as have pork producers. Worse, China is now purchasing corn and soybean from other countries who are thrilled to have the increase in trade and are therefore enhancing their respective political relationships. It is unlikely that US corn and soybean exports will recover unless we seriously undercut foreign prices but that again hurts farm profitability. Tariffs are fattening our treasury but since it means higher costs it means consumer prices are rising. That is actually a form of indirect taxation so while trump gave the middle and lower classes a tax break, its value to them is undercut by the tariffs. So, on balance, he played chicken with China and lost and, we are continuing to lose.

I am glad that he forced the breakup of Tik-Tok and, even better, he smacked Huawei upside the head by 1) limiting their supply of a key component manufactured in the US, 2) banning the purchase of 5G network products because of suspected "back door" cyber security risks (not just in the US but he pressured the EU to cut purchases), and 3) asked Canada to detain and extradite Huawei CFO, Meng Wanzhou, to the US. She has been detained going on two years now. {For all the Canada bashers here in the Attic, Canada's relationship with China has taken a serious hit on behalf of the US}. Those were good moves but we are not winning the trade war. My hope is that China is feelling US push-back and may be willing to save face and negotiate in good faith with a new administration. There's going to have to be a compromise in order to recover some of our lost sales so the question is, how tough will the Biden administration be with China in negotiations. Biden's appointment of Bob Iger as Ambassador to China is a smart move. Iger has extensive experience negotiating with China because he negotiated the Shanghai Disneyworld location and their on-going business tie-ins. He has excellent Chinese contacts and is respected by them.

Trump set strategy but failed on execution. Calling COVID the "Wuhan flu", "China flu" and "Kung-flu" deeply upset the Chinese among other name calling (They put a big emphasis on "saving face"). I believe Trump's relationship with China is irreparably damaged so I think a new administration has a far better chance of resolving the stalemate.

I appreciate the thought u put into your informative response. It confirms my position even more Trump needed another 4 years. Biden I do believe is going to roll back everything he implemented.
