Nice work and very good shots. I love NY, it is one of the places I want to come back once this pandemia is over.
Thank you Jorge for looking in on this travelogue and your kind comment. NYC will be waiting there - waiting for you - and if we are lucky, we might be there also - working on these pictures gave me a strong desire to go back as well! Have a great week - Joe
An interesting mix of photos, Joe! Like the old door. Somewhat incongruous, but it has character.
Thank you John, I am happy to hear that you like this odd set (a bit of everything) - I also think that that unusual door is ma favorite - I tried to find it on Google Streetview just yesterday, unfortunately it looks like it has been painted over: new paint - character gone ...... Have a great week - Joe
I love these! Not sure why but my favorite is the old door. I’ve walked many of those streets many times and you bring out much of what makes New York a great place to live and visit. You make me want to grab my camera and hop on the train👍
Thank you Dannj for looking in on my travelogue - I am glad to hear that my images bring back good memories for you - once the pandemic is over, grab that train and do that trip! - you might find us there as well - have a great week - Joe
Hi Bruce - how are things up in good old Westchester? Thanks for looking in on this mini-travelogue, in the earlier part I was actually covering some grounds in a couple of spots in Westchester. Happy to hear that you like this set - have a nice week - Joe
In my minds eye NYC has long been known as the epicenter of the Fashion Industry in the US and possibly the World, albeit Paris would likely take issue with this... Many of the fashion models I have collaborated with have migrated to NYC... Seems this "magical" city serves as a magnet to attract the finest talent in the fashion world... such as 5' 11" Melania Knauss an absolutely stunning Slovene-American fashion model who ultimately became "First Lady"
City of dreams? Maybe so for some...
Thank you for sharing the many facets of the Big Apple...

Thank you very much Thomas for looking in on my mini-travelogue on New York and your kind words. I am happy to hear that you like this set of images. In the remainder of this series, we are getting into the more magical realm of NYC, with the Christmas decorations unfolding - hope you have time to keep up with the posts over the next few days. Have a great day - Joe

Great to hear Bruce - will be doing another week or so of NYC images, totally Christmas-themed with some window displays, buildings and plenty of lights - hope you will enjoy - Joe
Brings back memories. Lived at corner of Bleeker & Mc Dougal early 60’s. I however don’t recall the church. Actually doesn’t look like a Catholic Church from your pics. Toddler crew is a great street photo shot. Probably inB/W would be more interesting in the story telling. I did walking tours in this area pre 9/11 used to tell folks that if they strolled too far use the WTC as a point of reference to meet at tour end.
Our Lady of Pompei is on the corner of Bleecker and Carmine. If I’m not mistaken, it was the church shown in GodfatherII as San Rocco, with the fireworks and feast.

Thank you FrankR for the additional information. Joe
