I took these 3 pics in Dec of 2004. at an affair at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. I volunteered on the 1906 coal fired Tug Baltimore an old Balto. city inspection tug. when not painting and scraping I was a fireman/stoker on the boiler. These were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5700 at 2.8 and 1 sec . I recently came across them again and decided to get an opinion.
I believe we could see them better if they were lightened a bit.
Thanks. I tried doing that and the graining in the sky stood out too much.
#2 tells a great story. Originally, I would say crop on the left, but here the lights far and near are an interaction of communication thus #2 is el'PerfectO.
No expert in such matters, but IMHO I would choose #2, but dim the bright lights with "Highlight" control or cloning the gray sky with an opacity of 25 - 50% over the lights to dim them. My eye is hacked away toward the bright lights. A thought to play around with anyway.
