A great set in this journey!

Thanks Rob - yes, the scene on this late winter afternoon had a very special mood and I was happy to notice these subjects and to be able to capture a bit of that mood. Take care - Joe

Hi weberwest...I just want to say that I was born and raised in Westchester County N.Y ...Born in Peekskill, lived in Croton on-the- Hudson, and Ossining...played in the Sleepy Hallow Cemetery...Went crabbing for Blue Crabs in the Hudson River...road the train down to the city once a week...Thank you for you captures...

I love that magnificent blue sky in 3 although I wouldn't hesitate to hang each on my wall...

Thank you Joe for looking in on my ongoing travelogue, I believe this is the first time I see your name popping up - welcome to the tour - this time it is only a brief one, but I hope you will find some enjoyable moments. That #3 image you mentioned has really quite a tonality from the deep blue on the top fading into the golden hues at the bottom, I am very happy to hear that you like it. Have a great day - and keep looking (I just did a set of sunsets as a next post in this series) - also Joe

Thank you namwife for looking in on my travelogue. Wow - you are bringing more memories back for me - all the places you mentioned ring a strong bell - I used to drive from Yorktown Heights to Croton-Harmon for 16 years to take the train into the city - well, sometimes I also used Mount Kisco, but still, the Hudson Line was "my" line - and it was my favorite too because of the views along the river. Thanks for looking in on the tour - I posted the last set today for Westchester, but will start with the City segment tomorrow - maybe you'll find some familiar places there as well. Have a wonderful day - Joe

Thank you mt for looking in on the travelogue and your kind comment - I got really lucky there, being in the right spot at the right time - and having my eyes open to notice it. Enjoy your day - and come along on this mini-tour of NY - I just posted the last sunset shots of Westchester today and we'll head down into the City tomorrow for a couple of weeks of mostly Christmas-related looks. Enjoy your day - Joe

I like the backlit shots. That said, the first 5 images, especially the 4th one, have considerable appeal for me!

This set continues yesterday's presentation on Mount Kisco, here I am concentrating on mood pictures of the trees at the creek in the center of the town of Mount Kisco, including some sunset moods and some of my early attempts of photographing back-lit grasses with varying rates of success. For more information on Mount Kisco, please refer back to yesterday's post.

Beautiful, joyous pictures, Joe! #5 and up are, IMHO, high class compositions. Very well done!

Joe, my father worked at the Croton-Harmon station for "New York Central" (no longer exist) when I was a kid...my uncle was a cook at the dinner...
Looking forward to your city segment...
