Trump lost the presidency in large part because he lost the middle- the independent voter - that carried him to victory in 2016. Heck he didn’t even seem to care about them as evidenced by his rallies and the fact he never campaigned outside of his rallies.
Now he and his followers continue to live in a make believe world fueled by his smash mouth politics. By Doing this he is even further alienating the independent middle .
This is doing long term real damage to the real conservative GOP- . Labeling it as a bunch of crack pots that will try to use any technicality , lie , or conspiracy to ignore the voice of the people in their vote.
I can only hope that a real conservative leader emerges that can lead the republican party out the quagmire trump has steered it into.
I can only hope the congressmen that fawned over trump to make sure they recurved the RNC support and funding trump controlled get their just reward of defeat in the upcoming elections.

Be careful what you wish for Denny. I didn’t personally like Trump’s demeanor but the facts and his record speak loudly...wishing for those that supported his record in favor of the likes of Biden and his bag of radicals will cost this country dearly. When the GOP takes control of the House in 2022, America will be back on track....Cheers

GOP could very well take house at mid term. This years voters liked the gop house down ballot but didn’t like trump - something his supporters never mention.
I hope they take the house back. If they are real conservatives and not left over trumpicans they'll get my vote . But not the ones that blindly supported this ass. Those That did that showed me a total lack concern for country .
I hope the gop can recover and move on and forget trump by then . But the whole gop has a lot of work ahead of it to win back the house or presidency and unless they was the stench of trumpism away that won’t happen.
While some applaud his accomplishments, not all are based on fact. Many reputable economists and environmentalists continue to point out severe issues and consequences that are already becoming quite apparent.
No, I am not going to provide links for those not concerned enough to already be aware.

I agree but this thread was just pointing out my hopes for the future.
I won’t be a “”” a but but but” type the way the trump supporters were when cornered. To me the nightmare is over - move on .

Doesn’t that remain to be seen. From what I read the Sunday debates went bad for republican candidates. Perdue didn’t even show up for fear of having to answer question about his stick traded and loeffler tied at best but seemed to quibble greatly in trump.

Sorry, Denny, you really think the nightmare is over? Better think and think hard again. Along with you I want the GOP to win the House, don't care if it is still those who supported Trump. With Biden, his radicals pulling his strings, China becoming more & more dangerous and a bigger threat each day, this nightmare which is just beginning, will only get worse especially if Dems win Georgia....Didn't like Trump and his policies, you're gonna despise the next couple of years, you can bank that....Cheers

Now I am curious. What does "smoked out" mean in your Caricatureland world.
To most of us it means landslide, overwhelming victory or some such.
The Senate balance is as yet undecided, which hardly sounds like a good strong thumping.
They were looking for a blue wave and certainly did not get that result.
Which is odd given the widespread fraud they perpetrated.
But "smoked out?"
