I think they would have had more credibility if the year for the virus to hit was NOT 2020. This was just a bit too perfect... flu-like virus, 2020, coming from Asia, spreading over the world, ...

The accent/pronunciation/mannerisms/syntax/whatever were all wrong for something of that era.

Unfortunatly it appears to be a Political-Thing to ignore health dangers since they affect "those people" the "unter-Männern." Aids was ignored by Regan and Trump abolished the Bush-Obama warnings and task-force. Trump went on to lie about the COVID-2 virus and the impending pandemic.
When those in charge bend over to bury their head in the sand we see an absolute incompetent ass.
