Talking to Linda from Maine . She suggested one thing I could do this time was to show some of the different steps . I thought that would help some others to see how I get from B&W to Colored . I told her I would add the info for each step except the coloring of skin . To many steps sometime to remember , and not always the same steps used . Sometimes more than one program used for skin ... For skin tone coloring you can watch youtube videos and then slowly come up with your own method with lots of practice . Not all skin tones look right for each coloring , different lighting makes skin tones different and the nationality etc.
Thanks for looking and if you leave a message , thanks again . Hope you like
I'm thinking I mite print and frame this one and add it to my collection I have hanging on the wall of colored photos I have done . I always print a 4 by 6 test print out first to see how much I like it , and then make any adjustments needed . Prints never look the same as viewing a photo on any back lite monitors as you all know
Absolutely exquisite! I cannot pick a "favorite"...I truly like them all!
Thank you so much for the time you put into this demonstration, Tommy. I felt a lot of anticipation as I viewed each new step 😊 The result is gorgeous!
Thanks also for the tip to test print smaller.
I very much appreciate your contributions to the forum.
Interesting to see how much of an influential factor brightness is.
This is a lovely portrait. Was it originally captured in colour, then converted to B&W, or originally in B&W?
Outstanding. #3 and the final image are truly amazing.
This in my opinion is so so goooood!
Thanks for your tutorial. Just goes to show how difficult it is to colorize a B/W photo. You left out the first step, patience.
Thank you for the tutorial. Outstanding edits!
Amazing work!!! Very well done.
Very nice work - beautiful model.
I like the coloring and highlights of the hair in the first hair coloring vs. the following ones. Something happened to change the depth of the shadows which caused the highlights not to stand out as much. I'm not sure I'm able to address this in a language that conveys my thoughts that I'm attempting to convey.
P.S. The final rendition of the hair Improved over the previous few which I found to be nicely done.
Masterful in every respect!
