Both excellent, but I'd go with number 1 because of the eyes. How did you ever get catch lights in both eyes from that distance!?!

For me, the first. Shadowed male is problematic. Is the first a crop? If so, I would give the birds a bit more room in the frame, especially on the bottom.

The first one has both in focus, the second one no. If you are portraying the couple, it makes sense to give them equal treatment. The "admiring" shot is not treating them equally, IMO.
