Went over down 1,000' with 10 levels except this one. It was a wet and dangerous place to work

Interesting image. Did you have to take a tour to take that
image?
Nice shot!
(Not in Delaware state I'm guessing.)

I did an unguided tour, this was one of my first attempts at using my D5300 when I was faced with an actual DSLR to shoot with as opposed to a p/s or my dying Minolta 7000i
Really good shot with the existing light. Am surprised you were able to get in the mine without being on a tour. Mahalo for sharing.

The sideways shaft is around 1700' long, fairly well lit as you can see with signs explaining what you're looking at. Now that I've discovered the giant game changer (auto iso) I would like to do a repeat using existing light.
Nice shot. How far down does the tour go?

I'm thinking the same thing. Seems to me the water table wouldn't let you go that far down. I used to do acid mine drainage studies when I worked at Gannett Fleming, ( 50 years ago ) . A lot were not that deep and I believe most were flooded.
Very nice environmental. Gives you a good sense of being down there.
