I”M not claiming VICTIM-HOOD, but you are right, my tact-less way of asking why he thought the vest had that kind of value, certainly fanned any number of fires. My apology. I appreciate your POSTS, frequently, and so I listen to your take on this and Other issues. But the name calling was somewhat OVERBOARD, IMHO.....RJM. And he can ask any amount he wants. And we can all utilize the “IGNORE feature of the HOGG at our own discretion....Have a nice day, TRULY.........RJM. The guy never bothered to answer as to WHY he thought the vest was so valuable, and I know he doesn’t have to.. It is certainly unimportant now.

Not trying to be a smarta$$, but this is a confusing statement to me. “Inciteful” indicates an effort to stir up, spur on, or urge on. Is that the concept you want to pair up with “valuable”?
Or, is “insightful” what you meant, which indicates seeing into or perceiving a situation? Seems to me it’s a better mate to “valuable”.
There certainly were a lot of inciteful posts on this thread, but I saw some insightful posts also.

Spelling DOES count if you write it. Not so much if you just speak it.

I agree 100%. If it is not priced to sell, it won't sell, but it's his jacket and he can price it however he wants. If someone wants to suggest it might be over priced, that can be done without being nasty about it.

Just a remark, if you wouldn't mind.
Back in the 70's I used my fishing jacket like the one pictured, made of cloth.
Was the very first one doing so,
Back then little did I know that it would have taken off as it has.
I may not have been the first, but here in San Luis Obispo County, California, I know for sure I was.
Worked as a stringer for UPI and shooting for a daily in Paso Robles.
I still have it and perhaps I should take a picture, even though it is well used, but functional.
I see the price you're asking. WOW!
But do to the material and the great use I would say well worth that you are asking.
