On Nov. 9 Trump fired the secretary of defense that he had appointed in 2019.

Not long after, Trump asked senior advisors about the possibility of bombing Iran.

On Nov. 17 Trump hosted an Indonesian Minister's visit, a meeting not on the president's public schedule.

Secretary of State Pompeo visited Israel and other middle east countries last week.

The current acting secretary of defense, Chris Miller, arrived in the Middle East yesterday, Nov. 25.

Also on Nov. 25 Trump removed "several high profile members" of the Defense Policy Board.
----

I'm thinking the bombs will drop on December 15, the day after the Electoral College vote. Or maybe New Year's Eve. Happy 2021, everyone.

I very much hope I'm wrong -- but not dead for at least another few years šŸ¤—

He's burning the furniture on his way out.

It probably won't happen but would you be at all surprised if it did?

Me neither.

Linda, actually I think we are at war and have been for close to 20 years. If I'm not mistaken, Afghanistan is still a hostile area and people are still shooting at U.S. Military personnel in that area. So, perhaps it's an expansion of war not so much starting a new one.

Regardless, the results could be catastrophic and not something anyone could look forward to.

Iā€™m going out on a limb. If Trump wins no new war.

If Trump wins Melania doesn't leave him for four more years. It's in the renegotiated prenup.

"On Nov. 17 Trump hosted an Indonesian Minister's visit, a meeting not on the president's public schedule."

The Trump family have extensive business interests in Indonesia:

Looks like politics and Trump business are intertwined.

I forgot to include in my opening:

Last Saturday, the Air Force flew a B-52 bomber task force from its base in Minot, N.D., to the Middle East, ā€œto deter aggression and reassure U.S. partners and allies,ā€ a Centcom news release announced.

And this week, three officials said, the Navy is likely to begin moving an aircraft carrier task force toward the Persian Gulf, as a hedge against unanticipated events.

Both snips are from this article.

General Barry McCaffrey said ā€œMark me down as alarmedā€ with Trumpā€™s recent Pentagon shakeup. That was before Trump removed several members of the Defense Policy Board.
Trump is angry, and unpredictableā€”and has always been a bit unhinged.

"If Trump wins..." . Trump lost. The Chump campaign has filed dozens of ridiculous lawsuits which have been tossed out by liberal and conservative judges. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Get used to it.
