It was a Walmart ad that started on 11/11. It was a incredible deal. I have run the new classic Photoshop on it with the standard configuration and it keeps up--6 core Ryzen CPU with a benchmark of 11,200. I think they are out of stock or the deal is over. Didn't want to spend a fortune on a Laptop as I am only a recreational Photographer, but I do use a Canon 5DSR. Maybe you can find something similar on Black Friday. It has a beautiful FHD IPS screen.

That is a swinging deal on a very good laptop with and excellent screen. Add the 8gb of ram and use amds program to optimize the graphics card and enjoy. Its a free download from amd and just install it and run your programs then tell it to optimize. If you are into overclocking your gpu it has that capability also but unless you are very familiar with the how and whys of overclocking and monitor your temps its best left alone for that. Great deal on a capable machine with a display to showoff with.

I never understand people buying laptops unless they are travelling you can get so much more in to a desktop, especially as you have a 50 megapixel camera. When you are editting photographs you need all the ram you can get my desktop has twin graphic cards so they run as one with all the benefits it gives I run an eight core processor and later on will upgrade to a sixteen core processor and run 64 gb of ram which I am increasing to 96 next week.
I have a twenty eight inch monitor I print my photographs on A3 photographic paper and I need this kind of specification to be able to do this. I run paintball pro ultimate 2020 and 2021 bother these programs are 1.5 gigabytes in size I also use the Canon program. I often scan at 1200 and 2400 dpi on my scanner and have gone as high as 4800 dpi. I could never do this on a laptop. Nothing against laptops I have two 17 inch laptops specifically made the cost me just under six thousand pounds.

I don’t get all the RAM. A fast processor with multiple cores and dedicated high end graphics card with 16-32GB of RAM is all anyone needs for photo editing. It’s the processor capacity and dedicated graphics card that makes the biggest difference in photo editing. Curious to hear if you’ve run benchmarks and seen any meaningful difference with 64GB of RAM.

He has 8gb of ddr4 ram. Its the last genefation or type of ram. It is good stuff and very reasonable compared to ddr5 or ddr6. I'm a 60 year old retired EE and tech geek. Lol. You don't want to know what I'm running but suffice to say I'm fast as hell and raytrace capable at high speed. Lol. It's kind of like gemcutting photography and building pcs. A intense hobby. Lol. 16gb is all 90 percent of people need also.

Exactly. 8gb, not 4.

Thanks so much for your advice especially about the download. Did not know you could optimize the program. Looks like I will be OK in the computer department when editing.

I'm a gonna insert a segue right in here.
MOMENTS ago I just paid $169.00 for a WD 10tb external at Newegg.
It was $189, then a $20 promo code paid the sales tax.
It's Black Friday, getting late, limited supplies.
A BIG external to your laptop should help a lot of things
Good luck to y'all
