When I bought it I wondered, but after using it, I love it and would not trade it.

I see only one who would not (on p.2). And his objections though valid are minor, IMO.

I've had my D850 for two years and I'm still learning fow to use it. Recently I've been using the auto shift function after buying Steve Perry's excellent tutorial on focus stacking https://bcgwebstore.com/product/focus-shift-shooting-digital-workshop-for-nikon/

The D850 replaced my D800 and the auto focus system of the D850 is far superior.

I love the files that it produces and I can't think of a current camera that I would replace it with. Ask me again next year when Nikon brings out the Z8 / Z9.

Your question is a little confusing. No, I would not buy a second D850 because I already have one. Yes, I really like my D850 and love the image quality, and it has it's place in my stable along side the D500 and D5.

Three runners on base .... now a Z for a grand slam !

Yes! Have or have had among others: D7100, D7200, D750, Z7, D500, D850. The D850 beats them all for the type of work I do. If I were to drop it in a lake I would replace it with another D850.

Definiatley. It is a great all around camera. But get a good book on how to set it up if you have never owned a Nikon camera before.

Absolutely. As an all-around camera, it's one of the best for sure. Best of luck.

quote=DavidPine]Yes. It is the very bests DSLR ever made by Nikon and I have 12 of them.[/quote]

What in the world do you do with 12 of them?

I have both. The D800e is my everyday camera. I save the D850 for those special photo road trips. However, my digital adapted Hasselblad has been getting a lot of work this year. Recently, more than either Nikons.

Hope this is as a straight foward question as I would like it to be. For owners of the D 850 after using the D 850 would you buy again after your experience with it?

Yes Why not Mike
