If you have an apple computer use airdrop to transfer the images you want to it. No wires, no connections, very easy but not so good for lots of images.

I have a Samsung rather than i-Phone, but it I think it might work the same:
Put the charger cord on the phone, then plug the USB end into a USB port on the computer.
Open Windows Explorer, and you should see the phone listed there.
Navigate to the phone-folder with your photos, then simply copy and paste them to a folder on your computer.

I have an IPhone and I use this method to transfer photo's to my Desktop PC. It's easy.

1. Connect small end of your Charging cable to your Phone.
2. Connect the large end into the USB slot on your Desktop PC
3. Navigate to your files folder and look for your Phone . It should be listed as a Drive. Mine list it as Apple Phone.
4. Click on that in my case, Apple Phone, Then click on the folder(s) to reveal your images.
5. Highlight the files and copy, then go to the drive that you want to store them on and Paste.
Very easy process.

I use the sandisk ixpand 128GB and love it. So easy, just connect the lightening connector (the small end) to your phone, download your photos, then connect the USB connector (the large end) to your computer to transfer photos.

I'm a huge fan of Photosync (https://www.photosync-app.com/home.html). I've used it for years and not one single issue. It's one of those very reliable apps you can count on. I highly recommend it.

Wondering how to move my photos to another storage medium from my iPhone.
Please make it as easy as possible for me.
Thanks in advance

Use dropbox from your phone. No size constraints and you can see them from you computer, tablet, etc

iPhone and a Mac work the same way.

I use iCloud storage. Photos taken with my iPhone automatically upload to iCloud when my phone connects to Wi-Fi. I can transfer them anywhere from there, or make some edits.

I thought I was going to need software - and if you Google this question you will mostly get articles on which software to buy.

BUT - if you have Windows 10 (probably works on a MAC as well) it is far more simple.

If you have an iPhone charging cable with a USB on one end all you have to do is plug it in to your computer! You will automatically get a box which asks you what you want to do - including the option of moving photos and videos to your computer! Nothing else needed!

I'm watching this because I wish to do the same thing. The first time I tried, it was simple. I simply attached the phone to the computer and dragged them over. However, this time, the computer explorer said the phone didn't have any photos on it! When I asked a techie, he went through a mumbo jumbo about uploading to the cloud, then down to the computer. That didn't work either.

Did you navigate, on your phone, to the folder where your photos are located after you connected the phone to the computer?
Evidently computers and phones have different minds: When my son wants to download photos to his computer, as soon as he connects the phone to the USB port, the computer finds the photos.
When I connect my phone to the USB port on my computer, the computer treats it like any external drive and I have to find the folder with photos on the phone myself.

I have had excellent results using the Sandisk iExpand (link shown above) - very easy and intuitive.

I just got a USB OTG adapter for my new Android tablet...also a Dual Drive m3. for my Android phone. The adapter is for my flash drives. I'm sure there are similar models for your phone.

Samsung to PC works as you describe. When trying the same with iPhone to PC only a few of the 900+ photos on the phone downloaded. Evidently the transfer needs to be done thru iTunes but when we tried that it didn't work either. This is one reason I do not like the Apple IOS. I need to do more research. Will be following this thread.
