A couple of weeks back I posted on Facebook that I was taking an online photography class about studio portraits as a winter project and was looking for someone who wanted to work on the project with me. I got three responses, Barbara Johnson, Cammi Lane and Joel Butkowski. Joel is a professional photographer (
https://www.bdiphoto.com/) and offered to let us use his studio to practice lighting set-ups. I also got another friend of nine, JT Scott who is a model in the Minneapolis area to pose for us. We had out first meeting/photo shot yesterday evening. Below are a few behind the scenes photos and a couple of my portraits.
Really nice......looks like you are learning alot. That studio is every photographer's dream space! My main problem is lack of room................
Epic Winter Project Wayne...
Fabulous portrait series...
Thanks for the link to Joel Butkowski's web portal...
Joel is highly skilled and has a wonderful and diverse portfolio...
Thinking you should approach him to assist on his gigs...
This is how I learned my craft, by assisting not in a classroom...
Hope this makes sense Wayne...
Again thank you for sharing...
All the best on your intriguing journey...
Joel has ask me to assist on some of his upcoming jobs and I will be doing that when our schedules allow. We won’t have another group meeting until after the Christmas holidays. I think we are going to work with a bowed reflector at that meeting.
Wise move and very lucky guy Wayne...
btw, love your home studio...
Looks really comfy... lol
again, many thanks for sharing...
