Not funny. Some people will take this literally.

Are you letting a mirror hold you back from the photographer you were meant to be?

I prefer using a metric crescent wrench, it doesn't scratch the mirror - in case you ever want to put it back.

LOL. Caught my dad on that years ago. We were working in the shop when I asked, "Where do you keep your metric crescent wrenches?" He pulled his head out from under the hood of the car he was working on and headed for his tool chest saying, "They're in the second . . . you jerk!" and went back to work as I chuckled.

I have a few of the same, Graphic, Arca-Swiss, Horseman. In addition to the ones you listed, I also have a 203mm and 300mm.

I do have to say that the image quality from these is superb and difficult to match with digital. I can also do things with these that are impossible with digital cameras.

Yeah, if there's a perfect niche for film, it's in the world of large format cameras. It will be quite a while before a digital camera or digital back knocks off a 4x5 or 8x10 or larger view camera.

That said, I did cringe a little at the sight of pliers stuck into the throat of a camera...

I was using cameras before SLR and DSLR's were in vogue. One Leica...two MPP 5 x 4 one Sanderson Whole-Plate. The SLR family was just progress.

I understand that if you're careful with mirror removal you can put the mirror in your kit bag and use it on location save the cost of buying a reflector along with making sure your hair is combed.

I have two "mirrorless" cameras, both use 4x5" film! And I have a number of lenses and shutters for them: 90mm, 120mm, 150mm, 210mm.

I have a reflex viewfinder for one of my 5x4 cameras so I have the choice to go mirrorless or not on that one.
It's certainly not the quickest SLR to use. I have to admit the mirrorless option is preferable on these as well as (most of the time) on my digitals.
