First 2 images appear to be out of focus. Make sure the AF is on and be slow on the shutter.

Hi Will and welcome! Were you using a tripod for the first two? Your water is just right, but the shot is also blurry. The second one is better. Still looks like it has a little movement tho. The last one is great. Very nice. Keep them coming!

I hand held all 3 shots however, I took the same waterfall shots with a tripod and they turned out very nice. I had 8x10 printed. On my photo wall down stairs.

That's cool! have you ever tried an ND filter? That might help some when you are hand holding.

I'm a newbee myself but as yet not posted any pics :roll:

Second thing is "What is an ND filter ERV and what does it do?

Hi Dave. I wil give you a link to read. It is filters that help fool the camera into thinking it is dark. They come in different values and to can stack them for darker shots. They also make one that you can turn to do the same thing. But here is a link that will do a better job of telling you.:)
