Christy, I'm from Tyler, tx. I don't know shots and lens's and such, but I have a few cameras and also have a flash set up. I was given everything and am basically experimenting. Please feel ultra free to critique and advise. I'm excited to learn and hope to shock and awe one day.
Welcome to our forum!
Tyler, TX, the home of Sandy Duncan! It's funny how that stuck in my head. If you don't know who Sandy Duncan is, you're too young.
Well I do know who she is. Didn't she have a glass eye.
Not sure why that stuck in mine lol. She was great. Never seen her round here tho. Maybe I should take a look see 🙈
Also, thank you!!
Welcome to the Hog, Christy, enjoy.
Hi Christy, welcome to UHH. Ask questions, post pictures, and most of all, have fun and enjoy experimenting with your photography.
Regarding Sandy Duncan... it was rumored that she had a prosthetic eye, and many people believed that she did, but she does not. She did however lose sight in her left eye after she underwent surgery to remove a benign brain tumor behind her left optic nerve. Her left eye still tracked and followed along with her right eye, so the doctors decided to leave it in instead of removing it.
Welcome to the Hog; and Jerry how can you be too Young??
Welcome. Learn and have fun.

Hi and welcome. As a teacher of photography, I suggest that you look at your local college, adult education and tech school. Some brick and morter camera stores have classes too. Take a class. You can't beat one on one learning about your gear. You can even PM many of us for help. Hope to see your work.
