His name is Jake for short and easy, and Jake Izsak for formal. The "Izsak" is Hungarian as a nod to his breed heritage, and reportedly means "bringer of laughter", apparently among other things.
Great photo and a really cute dog

He is so cute ...love this shot.
This is a great image. I see him thinking "Lets get picture takin' business over with so we can play." I read where Vizslas enjoy companionship and enjoy the human companionship. With that, thanks for the new image and please give Jake a pat on the head and a scratch behind his ears from me and I imagine from a lot of other of his "ugly" admirers.
Forgot to answer name request, it's Jake (in memory of previous dog) Izsak (as a nod to his Hungarian background, "bringer of laughter).
Here's Jake at 14 weeks old.

James, I was running down through my old mail, looking for things to delete and ran into your image of Jake at 14 weeks. He sure was a cute/handsome young bugger. If you have posted something more recent, I've missed it, but I would appreciate an update and bet others would as well.
Thanks for checking up on Jake. He's just shy of his 9th month on the 12th. He is incredibly curious and active. Jake lives up to the description "Velcro vizsla", literally will dog your heels wherever you go, and feels that a lap to lie in is his birthright. Now, 47 pounds.
Thanks for the update. I mentioned that I was looking for files to delete when I asked about an update. I'm afraid Jake is not headed for the delete pile, but will be saved to be pulled up every now and then just to be smiled at. You and your wife are very fortunate that you both are Jake's. Thanks for sharing him with us; he sure is a handsome boy.
