Word Processor for Samsung / Android Tablet S7+

Looking for a word processor that allows saving documents on my device but that does not force cloud storage. I am under the impression that Google Docs and Microsoft Office force cloud storage. Both are available for my device but I do not want be forced to save documents I create to the cloud. Does anyone know if they allow for "local" saving of documents on a device without saving to cloud? Can anyone suggest an Android word processor that saves documents on device without setting up a cloud account? Thanks, YNY.

Can't you download from the cloud and save it locally? I can do that with a computer.

I would recommend LibreOffice. . ."translates" any and all other word processors. . converts your "creation" to a multitude of those same OTHER processors. . .also converts to PDF, etc for sending to anyone anywhere. . .
And, it is FREE! [I use on several generations of Macs; and, several Windows PC.s (Dell, HP, etc)] And, it will only put it in the Cloud IF YOU TELL IT TO DO SO!

Try AndrOpen Office. It's in the Google Play Store. Actively Maintained. Good complement to using LibreOffice on a PC. I use Andr daily. I gladly paid a few extra bucks for "pro" to help support the project. In a couple of cases I needed support and actually got some! I tried other apps and this is best.
FWIW, I usually do my work on a PC because even tablets are less easy to use for editing. In a pinch, I've used Bluetooth keyboards with a tablet.
