You can now use most modern Nikon cameras as webcams. Download the app.
I downloaded it Jerry, but have not installed it yet. I will be interested in members results with it.
Tried it tonight on a zoom meeting. Meh, I was sort of underwhelmed. I experienced occasional freezing of the video stream with my D810 which otherwise seems to perform flawlessly. Additionally, the available window or screen sizes are different than on my laptop camera.
It is crystal clear though. Its a start.... kudos to Nikon for following Canons lead

I had the same experience as Magaliaman. My 850 kept freezing and it was more trouble than it was worth. I bought a Logitech webcam instead. Love Nikon but was disappointed with this software.
I installed the app on both my desktop and laptop (both HP running W10 porfessional). Tried it through ZOOM and it would not work with my D7200 on either computer. I see the Webcam software logo on ZOOM but nothing more.
Nikon instructions don't exist. Just glad the SW was free since for me, it is worthless

I'm sure you tried this but....... you did change to the Nikon camera in Settings right ???
I was surprised at the lack of settings with this software. There are NONE. Its more like a USB Driver where there are no options to set.

Yup. Just tried it with Teams and Webex. No Joy.
SW is crap. and so is Nikon support. Just deleted it to make room for some better SW. Any suggestions?
It does not work with Webx according to Nikon. I use it with my D500 and it works great on Zoom and Skype. It only freezes when I'm at a friends house who does not have 400mbs internet. I would expect the D850 would require quite a bit of internet speed for such high mega pixel signals. I've been using it since beta with the a/c adapter for my D500. All in all great video but a lot more hassle then just plugging in a cheap webcam. I do use it just because I'm a tech freak. Also I can hid my uglyness better. Lol

That's a shame, but I'm sure Nikon will eventually update the utility in time. In the interim, I think your only option would be to purchase a dedicated webcam such as Logitech. I'm unaware of any other software that will allow a Nikon camera to function as a webcam.
Maybe try a different cable ??? Nikon says your camera SHOULD work.
supported digital cameras: Z 7II, Z 7, Z 6II, Z 6, Z 5, Z 50, D6, D5, D850, D810, D780, D750, D500, D7500, D7200, D5600, D5500, D5300 and D3500.

Not sure that they will do much to the software - just look at their WMU app... it sucks.
